This summer, Drum Corps International is partnering with USBands to put on a series of DCI Event Day Clinics, which will occur at several events across the country. These half-day clinics will feature unforgettable experiences with a drum corps in residence, including a t-shirt and ticket to the evening’s DCI event!
We'll dive into various sessions for winds, percussion, color guard, and educators during the clinic. Students should bring their instruments/equipment if possible and will even get a chance to learn & perform alongside a World Class Drum Corps! Meanwhile, educators will enjoy designated time to learn from premier staff from USBands and our drum corps in residence.
We'll round out the clinic by getting up close and personal with the corps during their ensemble rehearsal – a great way to witness how the pros do their thing! You don't want to miss this amazing educational opportunity to learn and grow to the next level of your marching arts journey!
What to Bring
All Students should bring their woodwind, brass, flag, or percussion
instrument (including carrier/stand). Musicians should also bring a 3-ring binder with
sheet protectors for music and a folding stand.
Please note: due to facility logistics, most of the clinic may occur outside without shade/seating. We recommend all participants be prepared to stand for the duration of the clinic.
Professional Development Credit
USBands recognizes and supports teachers' and administrators' need for continuing
professional development. Educators can receive professional development credit through
USBands events. A certificate verifying the hours attended will be available for those
seeking professional development credit. Note: Professional development accreditation is
through Sterling University. We recommend that educators communicate with their school
districts to ensure local requirements are met.
