2022 Fall Marching Band Season Revealed

2022-02-23

USBands is excited to reveal the 2022 Fall Marching Band Schedule!

This season’s USBands schedule is mixed with traditional events and new additions to the calendar providing directors the flexibility to choose their pathway to ensure their student-performers’ success.

After a season bringing marching band back to life on the fields across America, the USBands team focuses on raising the bar even higher in 2022 with superior adjudication, expanded service and a dedication to operational excellence in all that we do.

Over 100 local, regional, and national events in 14 states will serve in excess of 50,000 student-performers. In addition, thanks to our relationship with BD Performing Arts and the Western Band Association, our commitment to our adjudication philosophy deepens with the highest quality educational commentary and analysis from a roster of nationally accredited adjudicators at all 2022 events.

Local events in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic will remain Fee-Free with no mandatory membership, registration fees or ticket requirements necessary for bands to take full advantage of experienced adjudication panels and convenient locations while supporting the host schools in their area. Fees for Regional, State and National Championships remain largely unchanged for 2022, making participation in USBands affordable, convenient and more impactful than ever before.

The exciting addition of Traditional Showstyle Band events will continue in 2022 with expansion into new areas of Virginia, North Carolina and Alabama, as well as a return to Prairie View A&M University in Texas. Final details will be announced shortly as to the locations and dates for these exciting events.

At USBands we believe it is up to all of us to keep music programs alive and students engaged. The passion was reignited for most everyone with the return to the field in 2021. But it is up to us to keep the momentum going in order to reclaim and recruit students as music can make a significant impact in their lives.

2022 FALL MARCHING BAND SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:

WEEKS 1 & 2 (September 10, September 17): For the first 2 weeks of the 2022 Fall Season, USBands will continue to offer a structured approach where student’s education will be the top priority. Several clinics and workshops with different engagement options based on the host and needs of the participating bands are currently being finalized. Directors can rest assured that no matter where their program is developmentally, USBands is a safe space to workshop ideas, train new members, and get into the flow of a new marching band season with support of the entire organization.

WEEK 3 (September 24): Week 3 is full across the map with 16 events in 6 states. The 2022 Texas schedule kicks-off with 4 returning events; two in the Houston area (Madisonville and Baytown) and one each in Dallas (Saginaw) and San Antonio.
