MAIN & USBands Announce Extension to Cooperative Efforts for 2022
After a successful first season of collaboration and cooperation in serving nearly 100 colorguards, the Mid-Atlantic Indoor Network and USBands will once again work together to provide in-person and virtual events for the 2022 season.
The commitment to the health and safety of all students and educators remains paramount in all of the planning for the 2022 MAIN season with the intentions of facilitating an in-person season of 23 events and providing a virtual events platform if participating guards are limited by health, safety, and travel concerns.
Through this collaborative arrangement, MAIN will be providing performance opportunities for its member groups utilizing WGI rules and regulations as a sanctioned Circuit Partner. USBands will be working closely with MAIN on arranging for all adjudication assignments with WGI-credentialed and MAIN-approved adjudicators. USBands will also offer logistical support for the 2022 season and the WGI Participant Protection platform.
MAIN and USBands are also working closely on new opportunities for partnerships and corporate sponsorship to improve and enhance the performer experience for the 2022 season.
The 2022 MAIN season will run from January 15 through April 10 with the 2022 MAIN Championships to be held on April 23-24.
Registration for the 2022 Indoor Season will open later this fall. Watch for details to be posted at mainguards.com.
