v-USBands Evaluations and Competitive Events for 2021

USBands will again be offering a virtual alternative for marching bands in 2021 for directors who would like to submit videos for pre-competition evaluation along with a competitive series of events in October and November to complement their fall season schedule.

Pre-Competition Evaluation

Directors can submit a 2021 video for evaluation by three adjudicators; one each in music, visual and overall effect. These evaluations will assist bands as they prepare for their competitive performances by receiving feedback from qualified national adjudicators that is timely and actionable in advance of a busy competition season.

FloMarching will host these videos on their platform in a general uploader space which will be accessed by USBands team members and shared with evaluators. Evaluators will provide commentary via Competition Suite within 72 hours of the video being uploaded to FloMarching. Videos will not appear to the general public on the FloMarching platform.

Video evaluations are $85. USBands member schools receive one complimentary v-USBands submission for a Pre-Competition or Competitive Evaluation with their 2021-2022 membership. Registration is now available at USBands.org

Competitive Evaluation

Directors whose bands are restricted in travel due to health and safety guidelines, along with those programs who would like to compete in a virtual marching band platform versus other schools across the nation are welcome to participate in the v-USBands 2021 Marching Band Series Powered by FloMarching.

The v-USBands Marching Band Series will be held for four weeks throughout the fall beginning on October 2 and continuing on October 16, October 30, and November 13.

Directors will submit a 2021 video for evaluation by three adjudicators; one each in music,   visual and overall effect. Commentary and scores will be provided on the Friday following the video submission.

As the platform is structured differently from in-person events, seeding points nor scores will count towards State or National Championship seedings.
