Tribute to Linda Flaker

It is with the deepest sorrow that USBands announces the passing of Linda Flaker. Linda and her husband Bill have been longtime event staff for USBands in Connecticut.  Linda was a fixture in the New England marching art scene for most of her life. Linda's kind and gentle way immediately put any director, event staffer, or adjudicator at ease. Fall in New England was Linda Flaker running a tabulation table at a marching band event. Linda was always able to connect to the band students--every show it was common to see band alumni visiting Linda, introducing her to their families and children--Linda's presence spanned generations. Linda and Bill are like family to so many in the New England Region. Our thoughts are with Bill during this difficult time. USBands will be honoring Linda's memory at all Connecticut events this Fall season.
