2023 USBands Registration Now Open

The wait is over! After a remarkable 2022 fall season with near record participation and bands growing in size and achievement, we are excited to announce the 2023 Fall Marching Band Schedule Presented by Ludwig Musser with new and returning events to bring the USBands experience to music programs of all sizes.

For 2023, USBands will be focused on three core initiatives: expansion of adjudication training, convenient, affordable and high quality performance venues and a full-time team dedicated to your program’s success.

With those three goals in mind, USBands announces over 100 events from clinics to local competitions, regional showcases to State and National Championships. There’s an event for every band based on the goals each director has set for their band. 

Registration is now open for all events on the 2023 USBands schedule, however many of the most popular events are filling fast!

We hope you’ll join us for the joy and excitement of great young people in pursuit of their personal and program excellence. 

WEEK 1

The season kicks-off on Sept. 9 with the first of two weeks of regular competitions and hands-on clinics as bands gain actionable feedback and experience in the early stages of their season.

WEEK 7

The first weekend of State Championships are scheduled for Oct. 21 in Pennsylvania with a return to Downingtown HS and in South Dakota with the Quad States Championships to be held in the DakotaDome on the campus of the University of South Dakota. Sunday Oct. 22 will see the Empire State’s finest compete at the New York State Championships.The final week of regular season competitions are set for Week 7 with the six final local events in New Jersey, three events in Connecticut and one each on Saturday and Sunday in Massachusetts.

WEEK 8


State Championship Weekend

One of the most exciting weekends of the season is State Championship Week on October 28 where bands will bring their very best as they challenge for State titles across all classes and group sizes. In the Garden State, two or three locations will host based on the number of bands registered. An announcement will be made this spring as to the locations for each group size based on registrations.

New England State Championships will return to Veterans Memorial Stadium in New Britain, while a second location will be announced in the spring. The Maryland-Virginia State Championships will move to the final Saturday in October for the first time in 2023. 

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship will bring a Prelim/Final format to West Shore Stadium in Camp Hill as bands prepare for the National Championships one week later.

Championship Weekend

The final week of the 2023 season will see over 200 bands compete in Nationals in MetLife Stadium (Open) and J. Birney Crum Stadium (A Class); plus the Southeastern & Central Texas Championship events in Katy and Round Rock respectively 

The final event of the season will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX with the USBands Southwestern Championship capping the season for bands in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and beyond.
