Nancy became active in the marching arts in 1998, as a band parent/chaperone for the South Brunswick Music Program. She worked with multiple groups at the high school to include the South Brunswick Viking Marching Band, the South Brunswick Visual Ensemble, the South Brunswick Concert Choir, the South Brunswick Wind Ensemble and the Pirandello Players. Nancy was an active member of the SBHS Viking Music Parent Association (501c3 nonprofit) for 20+ years, even after both of her children graduated. Her service to this association began in 1999 running fundraisers, chairing tournaments & coordinating chaperoning. She has run local (USBands) marching band tournaments as well as both local (MAIN) and regional (Winterguard International) winterguard tournaments each year at South Brunswick High School for the past 15 years. The expertise developed as tournament organizer led to a request for her to author a “How to Guide” on how to run successful tournaments. Nancy has shared this guide at seminars and with several parent groups in the area seeking to learn on how to run a successful tournament in their own school districts as well as being a guest lecturer to a class of students studying music education at The College of New Jersey.
Nancy has been an Asst. Coordinator and Tabulator for 2 years with USbands in the fall and a Tabulator for 2 years with USbands/MAIN in the winter.
Nancy is a lifelong resident of South Brunswick Township. She has been married to her husband, Harry for over 39 years and they have two daughters, Ashley and Bella as well as a granddaughter, Delta Rose.
