
Steve Fasoli's experience with Marching Band dates back to 1993 when rebuilding the Stamford High School Band to award-winning prominence. By the early 2000's SHS was competing at a high level in EMBA, MAC, YEA (USBands), WGI, BOA, and BGA in Florida. After leaving SHS Mr. Fasoli helped start the Marching Band at the University of New Haven which has enjoyed much success since its inception under the direction of Jason Degroff. Steve has also worked with many High School bands as a clinician, woodwind instructor, and assistant band director.
Currently, in his 30th year of teaching, Mr. Fasoli is the Band Director at Weston High School in Weston, CT. There he is responsible for 3 concert bands, the Jazz program, and the Digital Music program. In addition to teaching, he is an active professional saxophonist/woodwind player with extensive performing credits with many great musicians like the late Gerry Mulligan and Stephanie Mills. With a varied skillset in many idioms of music, he most enjoys performing with Jazz groups, theater, and Funk/R&B club bands.
He has been an active judge since 2012.
