Nicholas Bavani

Nicholas Bavani was a recent graduate of Music Education from Shepherd University before attending West Chester University. While at Shepherd, in multiple ensembles such as the Musical Theater and Symphonic Ensembles Nicholas gained a well-rounded experience. During his time in college, Bavani also participated in Drum and Bugle Corps as well as competitive percussion ensembles throughout the mid-Atlantic region including the Raiders Drum Corps, The Reading Buccaneers, and George Mason University’s Indoor Drumline. In these ensembles he participated as mallet percussionist and a pianist.
Immediately after graduation from Shepherd, Nicholas attended West Chester University for a Masters in Music Education, with a piano focus. While at West Chester, Nicholas Bavani has served as a member of the Philadelphia Wind Symphony, and participated in the University’s chamber wind ensemble. He also served as a graduate assistant enabling students to excel in the keyboard arts. Additionally, he has participated in outreach in the community as a percussion director of Cab Calloway School of the Arts and private piano instruction. Following that Nicholas was the director of North East High School's instrumental music program, which included marching band, jazz, wind ensemble and percussion.
Nicholas Bavani plans to inform, and educate students in the arts. He is currently employed as a music educator at The Baltimore Lab School teaching a various music classes and is a private piano teacher in the Greater Upper Chesapeake Area. Most recently Nicholas Bavani has been accepted into the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra at Johns Hopkins University as a member of the percussion section.
